Currently Craving.

J Crew Sweater / Zara Cable Knit Sweater / Zara Shirt / J Crew Pumps / J Crew Bracelet jewelry I really do need to pull myself together, with all of these amazing looks! Ah, my “currently craving” lists are always long, but I’ve managed to narrow down a few of the things that are occupying my thoughts at the moment. I would snatch up any of these items and gladly call them my own! I mean, those floral pumps? That flower sleeve sweater? That bracelet? I actually tried on that bracelet at the J Crew store and absolutely fell in love. Hopefully, I’ll be able to own in one day. Well, my birthday is coming up…..

Because of the stress, I rarely ever forget something because I go over my packing list many times before I do the final “zip-up.” As I was packing for my trip to Disneyland (!!!), I just had a feeling that I was going to forget something. I went over and over my list of things to not forget and figured that I was good to go. Ha! On our first morning in LA, I realized that I forgot something BIG. I forgot to bring a bra. Now many of you are probably thinking “was she not wearing a bra on her way down to LA?” Well, in an effort to try and save space in my already over-packed suitcase, I wore my workout clothes (complete with work out bra!) for the long car ride.  When I first realized this, I immediately felt that impending doom feeling that you get when you know it’s your own fault for forgetting something so necessary. I started to panic because every top that I brought with me was sheer. I immediately called my friend that I was traveling with and prayed that she had an extra bra. Thankfully, she saved the day and offered me one of her two bras that she brought. Best part? She and I are the exact same bra size! Anyways, the moral of this story is that you might forget something when you’re traveling. It could be something as simple as a bobby pin or something as big as a bra. For today’s post, I put together a little virtual packing list. 1.) An Amazing Travel Bag: This Kate Spade Saturday bag was such a great investment for me. Not only does the bag hold SO much, but it has a million little pockets and doodads attached to the inside lining. My favorite feature of this bag is that the bottom of the bag is zippered compartment that is meant to store your shoes. How genius is that?!?! 2.) Workout Clothes/Shoes: You never know when you’re going to be able to squeeze in a workout on vacation. I always bring workout clothes and shoes just in case. 3.) BYOHP (Bring Your Own Hair Products): I have learned the hard way to not rely on hotel hair products. My hair can be pretty finicky and I just just found it easier to bring my own products since I already know that they work for me. 4.) Swimsuit: Just like the workout clothes, you never know if you’re going to get the urge to take a quick dip in the pool or hot tub! I always bring a swimsuit so I’m never unprepared for an impromptu swim! 5.) Underwear/Bras: From now on, I will always be triple checking for these NECESSARY items. 6.) Makeup Bag/Toiletry Bag: Instead of just throwing everything into a plastic baggie, my mom has taught me to keep your cosmetics and toiletries separate because it makes your life so much easier. As always, she’s right and I always separate the two. 7.) Retainer: I suffered through many years of braces so I’m pretty routinized when it comes to wearing my retainer! Plus, my retainer is a night guard which helps protect my teeth from stress grinding/clenching. 8.) Sunglasses: I would die without my sunglasses. Okay, die is a strong word, but really, I would be miserable without them. I have light blue eyes so without protection, they get irritated and water uncontrollably. Not an attractive combination. 9.) Chapstick: I always put chapstick on my lips at night so that they can be soft and rejuvenated by the time I wake up the next morning. 10.) Emergen-C: Travel means being around a lot of people, which means lots of germs. I always bring Emergen-C with me so that I can give my immune system the boost it needs during my travel times. 11.) Emergency Kit: You never know when you’re going to need a nail file or an earring backing! This kit is so amazing and has everything a gal could need in an emergency!
