His and Hers (Date Night).

Zara Blouse / River Island Pencil Skirt / Kate Spade Handbag / J Crew Scarf / Kate Spade iPhone Case/ J.Crew Boots / J.Crew Jacket / J.Crew Broken-in Chino / J.Crew Shirt / J.Crew iPhone Case / Kate Spade Necklace / Timex Watch   / Monroe Pumps /  J.Crew Socks  When it comes to date night, I always tend to dress up. At this point, no one is surprised by this, right? I love lace, sequins, shimmer, you name it. I also like throwing on a great pair of heels and rocking a statement lip color. Heck, it’s date night! Might as well get gussied up! Jonny is about as casual as they come. He likes to wear a casual button down shirt, jeans, and boots and call it a day.   For the “his” portion of today’s post, I took a little liberty on creating outfit because I know that Jonny would never wear burgundy chino pants in real life. A girl can dream, right? Men don’t realize how lucky they are when it comes to style. Button down shirts, t-shirts, and pants never go out of style so they can shop just about anywhere and still look amazing. For women, styles and cuts are constantly changing and, as many of you know (myself included), it can be hard to keep up. Unfortunately, women’s clothing is tricky because we tend to want good materials that fit us well and cost more money. Sigh. Anyways, who’s up for a date night?! It’s February now, so Jonny and I will be picking our new monthly restaurant to try. Stay tuned and thanks for reading!

Home Love.

Ceiling Light / H & M Throw /Quilt/ Pillowcases / Bar Cart / Wall Mirror / Book Ends / Polka Dot Throw Pillow / Wire Sculpture / Clear Glass Vase / Mirrored Furniture / Nate Berkus Lamp When Jonny and I first moved into our current apartment a little over two years ago, we needed to pretty much “make over” the entire place. Everything in the apartment had been neglected so we were in charge of making it look amazing. Through hard work, determination, and many late nights, we were able to finally call our apartment “home.” However, while I still love our apartment, I am starting to get the itch to redecorate. Jonny thinks that I’m crazy because we put in so much hard work not that long ago, but what can I say, I love changing it up! Most of what I have talked about here on the blog are topics related to style and beauty. Many of you probably don’t know that I also love home design. I try not to go into many home design stores because I know that I will walk out with a couple of new items and a burning desire to make over my entire place. One specific project that I am dying to do is a bedroom makeover. We are lucky to get a great deal of natural light in our apartment, which gives us many more decorating options. Currently, our walls in our bedroom are a gorgeous purple color that we discussed in great detail before we were able to both agree on it. However, I am now thinking that I want to replace our current color with a deep navy blue to add a touch more drama to the room. For accent colors, I am thinking whites, grays, and golds. Just talking about it makes me want to decorate! Here is a picture of our current bedroom (sorry, it’s not the greatest picture):  …and here is what I wished it looked like now: |Source| |Source| |Source| |Source| Thanks for reading!
