Welcome to a brand new week, everyone. I have to say, life has felt like a complete whirlwind lately. My lovely and very spirited grandma had heart surgery (she’s recovering nicely and just couldn’t wait to tell me that she bought a pair of kate spade new york Keds!), my family went to an awesome wedding near Napa wine country in one of the most beautiful venues I have ever seen (think Italian countryside), I was surprised by my favorite five-year old and we took pictures together all around my neighborhood (thanks Jonny and Janetta!), and Jonny and I are trying to adapt to life post-vacation. It always takes me a week or so to get back to a “normal” routine so I always feel a little off immediately following an amazing vacation. Ah well! It just makes me look forward to the next one!

Usually when life gets hectic, I have less time to stand in front of my closet and dream up outfit concoctions. Feeling rushed has never been productive for me because I end up getting flustered and overwhelmed. That’s when I start to believe that nothing looks good and I might as well call it a day. I know, a bit dramatic but hey, when a gal feels like she has nothing to wear, nothing feels right. The struggle is real, people. This Madewell dress is one that I come to time and again. It always looks great and I just happen to feel my most fabulous when I’m wearing white. For today’s look, I paired it with my J Crew School Boy Blazer (such a classic and will always be stylish) and my new J Crew flats. I am so obsessed with these shoes! I stalked them online for quite some time and finally nabbed them in my size and on sale! Victory is mine!!!
