It’s probably going to come as no surprise when I tell you how much I love wearing velvet during this time of year. Clearly, I’ve been having a mini love affair with velvet since last holiday season and I 100% blame Ulla Johnson for this obsession. Ulla Johnson’s velvet pieces make my heart flutter each year because her attention to every single detail is unmatched. Take this velvet blouse for example. Not only is it velvet, which means my desire to make it my own will be very strong right off the bat, but the beautiful draping details on the sleeves and the topaz color are enough to stop anyone dead in their tracks. I mean, have you ever seen a more beautiful velvet top? Let me answer that for you. The answer is NO and you most likely need to add this piece to your wardrobe STAT.
Another item that has been getting a ton of wear my closet are these Reformation jeans. Sadly, this version has been sold out since they first debuted online (I was lucky enough to snag a pair because I was basically stalking them for weeks) but they do have a skinny jean pair in the same print. The fit is perfection and the stripes add a cool factor to a basic pair of black denim. I honestly can’t stop wearing them with EVERYTHING, which probably means I should buy a back up pair if they ever come back in stock.
