Hello. My name is Tamryn and I am a (faux) leather addict. This is an addiction that I actually love feeding because there are so many adorable faux leather options out there nowadays. One of my favorite places to go for great quality faux leather is Zara thanks to their attention to even the smallest details and their butter soft materials. I have been on the hunt for the perfect leather pencil skirt for some time now. The ones I’ve tried have always fallen short in some way or another. Even this skirt is a bit too big in the waist, which is such a bummer because I really love the fit otherwise. #longtorsoproblems

Pairing a high waisted skirt with a cropped top has been my go-to all spring and summer long. Now that there’s a fall crispness to the air, I am trading in those warm weather crop tops for cropped sweaters. I picked up this one at H&M and absolutely love the bright color and all of it’s small little details, like the voluminous sleeves and the intricate stitching throughout.

While we were shooting this outfit, Jonny told me that I reminded him of Pat Benatar. When I took a look at all of the  pieces of this outfit, I realized he was totally right. There is a little “bad girl” element to this look that I really like and, to be honest, often shy away from because most of the time I believe that I can’t pull off something this fierce. However, sometimes you just gotta do what feels right. In this case, I felt the strong urge to step outside my style comfort zone.

And like Rue Paul says, “girl, you better werk.”

This outfit is a little bad girl, a little working girl and a LOT of flattery! Color/faux leather, the earrings and, dare I say, those Shoes! It’s all going on there….

Omg! I love the skirt. I’ve been shying away from the whole leather trend in fear of looking dated but this one is so gorgeous I have to get it. Love your blog!!!
