Over the past five years or so, my NYE style priorities have changed pretty drastically. I've never been one to buy tickets to the coolest NYE party at the newest "it" spot in SF or run around the city drunk at 2:00 am. Honestly, I've always been more of a stay at home gal because A.) I rarely drink (the last time I was drunk, I was in college and it ended in a scary black out state which was NOT fun) and B.) I am an introverted home body. Don't get me wrong, I love going out and having fun but I've just never been one to "party" until I'm passed out drunk, which pretty much sums up every NYE party in SF and everywhere.

It wouldn't be the holiday season without a cheery holiday blazer, amiright?! I typically don't wear a ton of red. For some reason, I never know if it's flattering on me or not so I don't really reach for red pieces in my closet even though I really love the color. Anyway, when Veronica Beard sent me this gorgeous red blazer in the mail, it had me rethink my shyness around such a bold color and I decided to rock it with a few other holiday layers. I mean, if you can't wear red during the holidays, when CAN you wear it?

Holiday dressing is 100 times more fun when you include your best girlfriends and ESPECIALLY when you're all wearing the same designer. Sarah, Veronica, and I have watched Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam create an empire that all started from her blog and it has been incredible to watch her growing success. One of those major milestone moments was when Julia designed her own dress line to reflect her sense of style and her key eye for detailed but never overdone looks to compliment all body types.

I have always wanted to shoot in this part of the San Francisco. Nob Hill is such a classic part of the city and houses some of the most prestigious hotels. Plus, the views from the top of Nob Hill are absolutely incredible. There's just something magical about this little slice of SF heaven. You feel like you are on top of the world and during the holidays, each hotel and business goes all out with their decorations. You can't help but get into the holiday spirit when you visit.
